WiFi vs Ethernet Gaming Test
Compare real ping on WiFi vs wired — guided workflow, no auto-fake detection
WiFi vs Ethernet workflow
Compare real measurements yourself — we do not auto-detect your connection type. Follow each step on the same device.
1. Test on WiFi
Connect your PC or console on WiFi only. Run the gaming ping test and save or copy your results.
Run gaming ping test (WiFi)2. Switch to Ethernet
Plug in a wired Ethernet cable. Disable WiFi on the same device so only wired traffic is used.
Run gaming ping test (Ethernet)3. Compare jitter & stability
High jitter on WiFi often causes lag spikes even when average ping looks fine.
Run jitter test4. Check Mbps vs lag
Fast download speed does not fix bad ping. Run a speed test if you suspect bandwidth limits.

Is this real ping to game servers?
We measure HTTP round-trip time from your browser to public publisher endpoints (Epic, Riot, Steam, EA). That is real network data from your connection, but it is not ICMP ping and may differ from in-game server latency. We never simulate or estimate failed tests.
